Beary Happy Birthday!

Hello crafty friends, thank you for stopping by once again, I really appreciate it!! I am back today with a super cute card featuring some sweet products from one of my favourite crafty companies – Mama Elephant. Today I will be using the Beary Good Day stamp and the Blooming Window die to make this pretty spring card. So let’s get started on the card!!

To begin, I die cut the Blooming Window Creative Die using white 80lb cardstock. I die cut the frame twice and glued it together, just to give it a bit more strength (you could cut it once if you use 110lb cardstock). I then ink blended a cloud scene using the Sky Blue ink from Pink Fresh Studio. I glued this to the arch panel and then adhered the frame.

I stamped a sentiment from the Beary Good Day stamps set using a black dye ink and then moved onto the images. I stamped the bear and sun in a Copic friendly ink and coloured using the following colour combinations –

E44, 43, 42, 41, R85, 83, 81, Y35, 17, 15, 11, YG07.

I fussy cut the images and adhered them onto the card and then moved on to die cutting some of the extra flowers for the corners using two shades of pink and a yellow. I glued these into place and then added the panel to the card base.

That completes the card for today. I hope you have enjoyed seeing how this card came together.

Garden Friends

Hi crafty friends and welcome back to my card corner. Thank you so much for stopping by – I really appreciate each of you!! Today I am delighted to be back with another design team post for RAM Stamps. It’s a bright, sunny day here in Melbourne and even though it’s autumn I could resist creating a spring time card with these adorable friends from the Garden Friends digital stamp. So let’s get started on today’s card…..

I started off by getting all the die cutting done. I I die cut the MFT Stamps Stitched High/Low Strip Cover-Up Die-Namics using 80lb white cardstock. I ink blended some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink on to the loose piece and also onto the edge of a white panel that is slightly bigger than the frame. I added the panel to a top folding card base and then added the frame using foam tape. On the small rectangle piece stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment using ink from MFT Stamps. I then die cut two pieces from the MFT Stamps Grassy Fields and ink blending some Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink. Lastly I glued the loose pieces and the grass into place with liquid glue, ensuring that the grass was only glued along the bottom.

I moved onto the images, which I downloaded and printed on my Canon Pixma – no special printed needed. I coloured the images with Copic Markers and added which gel pen highlights. I then fussy cut the images. For the colouring I have used the following Copic Markers – \

Y38, 35, 17, 11, R85, 83, 81, 30, G02, 00, BG15,23, 10, W4, 2, 0, 00, E44, 43, 42, 41, 57, 55, 53, 31, 51.

I added all of the pieces into place, tucking some behind the grass. For the sun, I placed in it position, without adhering it, then added te lines with a black fine liner and then added the sun with foam tape.

That completes the card for today. I hope you like it as much as I do. To have a look at this digital stamp and many other adorable images, head over to the RAM Stamps website.

Treat Yourself

Hi crafty friends!! Thanks for stopping by my card corner once again, I am so glad you are here. I am back with my second card for this month’s Stay Crafty Challenge with A Blog Named Hero. If you haven’t seen already, the challenge for this month is “Happy Anniversary”, this can be a birthday or anniversary card. I have gone with a quick and easy birthday card today. So let’s get started……

For today’s card I have used the Flowers & Hearts Cover Plate – isn’t it pretty. I die cut the cover plate using 80lb white card stock and glued it to a white card base. I then die cut the cover plate again four times using four different pastel cardstock colours. I then inlayed the coloured pieces, leaving the small circles open. Don’t forget to keep all of the extra pieces to make a few more cards in the future!!

I stamped a sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate stamp set on to black cardstock using Embossing & Watermark ink and added white embossing powder. I heat set the powder until melted and trimmed the sentiment. I added this to the card base with foam tape to complete the card.

Head over to the Hero Arts blog to upload your entry for this month’s challenge and you might win one of two $50 vouchers. Be sure to add the card to your socials, so we can all see your fantastic card.

Let’s Have A Tea Party

Hello crafty friends and thank you so much for stopping by my card corner once again – I really do appreciate you!!! Today I am back with a card for the Spring Into Card Making Hop. We are at week 5 and this week the theme is “Tea Party” – what could be better! So I got to thinking about what the make and I came across the most adorable images from Di’s Digi Stamps (@candibeandi on Instagram). I have used images from Di’s amazing collection for the last few weeks for this hop and I just love them. So let’s get the tea party started……

I started the card by creating a card base that measures 4.25 x 5.5 inches using Ripe Raspberry cardstock from My Favorite Things. I then trimmed 2 panels of 80lb white cardstock to measure slightly smaller than the card base. On one panel I ink blended Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink and I die cut the Lawn Fawn Reverse Stitched Scalloped Circle Window Die. I die cut some grass using the My Favorite Things Grassy Edges Die-Namics. I glued the white panels together and added the grass die cuts.

I then printed the @candibeandi, I have used the Woodland Mice Tea and Tea And Mice Macaroons digital images. I coloured the images using Copic Markers and then fussy cut them. I have only used the cakes and macaroons from the Tea And Mice Macroons image. I have used the following colours for the colouring –

R85, 83, 81, 30, BV13, 02, 00, BG15, 23, 10, YG17, 09, 05, 01, E74, 71, 10, W6, 4, 2, 0, 00.

I added the images to the card base, sliding the cakes in amongst the grass. I then stamped a happy birthday sentiment with white pigment ink and heat set white embossing powder. Once melted, I trimmed the panel and added to the card base. I added a few white gel pen highlights to complete the card.

I hope you love today’s card as much as I do. Make sure you head over to the Instagram hashtag #springintocardmakinghop to see all of the amazing cards for this week’s theme.

Stripes, Stripes & More Stripes

Hello card making friends, it’s great to see you here once again. I am back with my second design team post for Streamside Studios for April. This time I am entering this card in The Color Hues Challenge. This challenge requires you to create something using the two allocated colours. This time it is peach and green. When I saw the brief, I knew just the stamp to use – Tropical Vibes – Aloha! So let’s get started on the card……

I began the card by downloading and printing the image. I coloured the image using Copic Markers and then added a few white gelly roller highlights. I then fussy cut the image. For the colouring I have used the following colour combinations –

YR65, 61, 12, 00, YG67, 63, 61, 17, 9, 7, 01, G7, 5, 2, 00.

For the background I added strips of low tac tape to create the stripes, however you could use a stencil. I then ink blended Distress Oxide Ink in Dried Marigold. The panel was then die cut using the MFT Stamps Mod Rectangle Die-Namics.

I added the background to the card base and then added the floral image using foam tape. I printed the sentiment using the Racoon Birthday Cake stamp and added to the card base to complete the card.
