The Micest Thing

Hello crafty friends and welcome back to my little card corner. I am back with week 3 of the 2024 Crafty Kick Off card hop. Have you had a chance to look through the card hop or the last 2 weeks? If not, I encourage you to, there are some amazing, talented crafters taking part in this hop. For week three it is all about colour. We were set a colour challenge to include red, orange, beige, sage green and a deeper green. I love a colour challenge. So let’s get started on today’s card……

I chose to use a new stamp set from My Favorite Things called The Micest Thing – it is the sweetest stamp set. Once I saw the large mushroom I knew this set would suit the colour theme perfectly. I stamped the images onto 80lb Neenah cardstock using a Copic friendly black dye ink. I coloured the images using Copic markers and then fussy cut them.

For the colouring today I have used the following colours – R27, 24, 17, 30, YR68, 16, 07, E44, 43, 42, 41, 40, YG67, 63, 61.

I die cut a panel of white cardstock using a scalloped die and ink blended some Mowed Lawn Distress Ink in the top, middle section of the panel. I glued the images into place and then stamped a sentiment using the My Favorite Things Orange Zest ink.

I cut and scored some Orange Zest cardstock to create a card base and added the scalloped panel. That completes the card for today. I hope you have enjoyed this card and will hop along with us using the instagram hashtag #2024craftykickoff
